RIDING Holidays under the sun
|
|
5 rides of 2 and half to 3 hours (total: 12 to 15 hours ) |
|
| |
|
| Our rides (morning or afternoon) last about 2 and half to 3 hours and take us through the unspoiled landscape of the Monchique Mountain Natural Park and surroundings, using different paths and routes on every ride. |
|
| |
|
| |
 |
In the mountain portions of the ride there are magnificent views all the way
down to the sea and when we ride through the valleys we are in a landscape where
we are surrounded by an impressive variety of wild vegetation typical of
southern Europe: eucalyptus, orange, fig, cork and almond trees. |
|
| |
Fortunately we are in region were the weather allows horseback riding all year
around. Whatever the season our rides are always great fun and full of adventure.
In the spring the landscape is covered with all sorts of wild flowers in an
amazing variety of colors and when the almond trees are in flower (February /
March) the area is especially beautiful |
|
In the summer we often ride early in the morning or late in the afternoon in
order to enjoy the cool shade of the pine and eucalyptus forests. After the ride
one can enjoy our sunny patio and refreshing swimming pool.
|
| |
| Fall always brings perfect weather, with mild temperatures and serene days,
affording one plenty of time to enjoy the golden colors of the magnificent
sunsets, as well as the opportunity of riding on the beaches of the Atlantic
Ocean when permitted (Miradouro programme). |

|
Winter in this region is the mildest in Europe and the sun is seldom absent.
Without any air pollution the atmosphere is cool, limpid and transparent
allowing one to appreciate all the natural wild fauna and flora in a marvelous
protected area of more than 1.000 hectares. |
